As the Copenhagen Pro comp approaches its 5th annual event, the organizers have been asking themselves what it really means to be pro. Valid question, as the comp is the only true pro comp in Europe, meaning that if you enter it and define yourself a pro, you won’t be allowed to enter the am comp in Amsterdam for example.
So Simon Weyhe, who you’ll remember did the Alis video with the dream team line up of Willow, Eero, Foppa and Horvat and now works at Copenhagen Pro, has posted a little interview with Braydon Szafranski, where he talks about what being pro in skateboarding might mean today. Is it the fact you have a board with your name on it? A Shoe? A paycheck big enough to live on?
