Essex ripper Ben Raemers’ first major part was in Consolidated’s full-length Goin’ Bananas from 2007. This was followed by a number of tour videos with éS Footwear, and a part in Enjoi’s 18-minute Tweak the Beef in 2012, also featuring riders such as Clark Hassler, Cairo Foster, Louis Barletta, Jerry Hsu, Jose Rojo, Nestor Judkins and Wieger van Wageningen.
In 2012 he was also the cover star for Kingpin’s 100th issue, with sponsors Volcom releasing an exclusive video part featuring Raemers to celebrate the anniversary. His first part for Converse arrived in 2013 in the Texas tour video Burnt Ice and Bum Glaze, also featuring Mike Anderson, Zered Bassett, Eli Reed, Tom Remillard, Jason Jessee and Sammy Baca.
Bad boy Ben hails from Walton-on-the Naze. He is an amatueur rider for Enjoi, and also has sponsorship deals with Volcom, Indy, Ricta, Mob and Converse. In 2013, it was announced that he had joined the top line-up of skateboarders, which includes Barney Page, Chewy Cannon, Denis Lynn and Geoff Rowley, at Liverpool’s skater-owned Lost Art skate shop.
He is known as one of skateboarding’s best dudes, and is a riot to be around. He is also pretty amazing to watch on the board – from Mctwists to backyard pools, fire hydrants and stairs, he can shred it all. His full bag of tricks were on show in a brand new edit from 2013 from Tiltmode in which he got stuck into bowls, street, ditches and more.
