French skater Flo Mirtain rides for Cliché, DVS Shoes, Fourstar, Hélas caps, Venture, Spitfire, Mabasi and Wall St Skateshop. He made his video debut for DVS in 2008’s Summer Bailout Package which included footage from the Scandinavian ‘Scandalous’ tour, the ‘Eh To Z’ tour through Canada, and the ‘Freaks and Greeks’ tour to Greece.

He then appeared in a succession of epic videos from Cliché, including Clé (2008), La Cliché (2010), and Fred Mortagne’s Gypsea Tour (2010), as well as the independent French film Megamix in 2012. However, the highlight of his career so far has surely been the Cliché vid Bon Voyage, directed by Boris Proust, and featuring trips to the US, China, Israel and all over Europe – after the video’s premiere in 2013, he turned pro.

Flo is from the north of France, but moved to the southern town of Gap as a child, and now lives in Lyon. Despite having to take medicine every day for a blood disorder, his skating progressed quickly after his Dad bought him his first skateboard, and he drew inspiration from riders such as Jerry Hsu. He now hangs out mostly with fellow French skater and Cliché team member JB GIllet.

Despite (or perhaps because of) his addiction to Coca-Cola and cigarettes, Flo is undoubtedly one of France’s finest-ever skaters – his amazing style can be clearly seen in his solid ‘Always on the Grind’ edit from Venture Trucks in 2014. However, he can’t quite do everything perfectly – he says that his ‘kryptonite’ trick is the impossible.
