Mark Frolich

Mark Frölich rides for Spanish company Jart Skateboards, and is also sponsored by Vans, Ezekiel Europe and Plan B Skateshop. Soon after joining up with Jart, he appeared in the company’s full-length film Now or Never in 2007, and he also featured in the 2009 independent European film The Done Video and a promo for Ezekiel filmed in Barcelona and Germany’s Ruhrpott.

More recently, Mark appeared in Jart’s Mosh It Down promo from 2011, and the company’s full-length 2012 release All You Need, directed by Jesús Gómez. An amazing new part from Mark presented by Kingpin Video called Till Ur Legs Fall Off hit the internet in November 2013.

Born in the German town of Wuppertal, Mark left his home country as soon as finished school to move to the European skate mecca that is Barcelona. That was seven years ago, and Mark is still there today, grateful to be able to pay the rent by doing what he loves – exploring the outskirts of the city, eating rails for breakfast, and currently preparing a new part for Jart.

Since making the move to Spain, Mark has had to battle hard – he is intolerant to many kinds of food and at one point spent three days in hospital on a drip for eating the wrong thing. He also had to cope with the demise of his shoe sponsor éS, but his love of skateboarding has always had him coming back for more.
