Sure enough, the premier has been a blast. The video certainly can live up to the hype. Some all around wicked shredding by doctor skate and friends. Despite a composition revolving more or less around shining a light on the man himself, this piece still ranges far from cockiness. It rather serves as testomony for a sheer and profound love for ripping hard and never compromising; in other words: the mosh it down way of life!

Wieger On Some P-Rod Shit In Cypress

Here are a few impressions from a little Nike filming mission to Cypress. The swoosh is stocking up on heavy footage these days, so you can be sure something sick will be dropping sometime next year!

First – of course – airport chilling, airport food, airport boredom. Lennie and Wieger waiting for the homies to fly in…

Then, next day, time for the bangers! Guess what never been done move Wieger is doing here on this close to twenty stair railing, and win… nothing! Note: It’s not a pressure flip noseblunt!

Either way, must be a hell of a move – just take a look at how Nickels is working double shift in order to get it.

Once that was bagged, sun was already sinking rapidly – 5 pm and it’s pitch dark over there! Just too bad, if the weather still calls for more skate action…

Epic, Near-Death Drop Ins

In response to Alex’s post regarding this month’s drop-in from The Rad, a few other epic near death drop-ins came to mind…

…one from one of the very first skate-mags I ever held in my hands, crica ‘89. The image of Frankfurt local Martin Wagner in a Monster Skateboard Magazin, instantly ingrained into my tender and innocent mind, establishing a spark of loco – one of the fundamentals that make up skateboarding’s radness!

And another one, that almost ended tragically, with David Conrads going to front feeble split seconds after Helge Tscharn had pushed the button on this one, sending David flying pretty much directly to his dome piece! – Sirens. Hospital. Fractured skull… splitting from the hospital a couple of days later, just to skate a comp in the local park!! – The spark of loco is strong with this one!!
