Here’s the footage from a 10 day Nixon trip with JB Gillet, Javier Sarmiento, Chris Pfanner, Alain Goikoetxea, Alex Mizurov and Antony Lopez . That’s quite an eclectic team… It’s good to see JB go on a trip with people like Pfanner or Goikoetxea. They drove from Bilbao to Lyon, stopping in Barcelona and a bunch of other places along the way. Sarmiento kills it as usual.

Antiz filmer Paul Labadie just started his griptape company called “Ashes”, here is the promo he put together for it. I guess it probably helps to be a filmer if you are starting a company, because that is one hell of team. Then again, I can’t think of many European skater’s that already have a griptape sponsor …

Well it’s that time of year again where we’re giving you, the public, the chance to vote for the Kingpin Readers’ European Skater of the Year. It’s going to be a tough call with all the amazing skateboarding that’s gone down over the last 12months. The award will be given to the winner at the annual Bright European Skateboard Awards along with the industry voted categories. To vote just click the button next to your choice’s name!

Spring Classic doesn’t have the typical “first to last” judging system, instead 20 lucky skaters will compete for 16 different prizes in the finals, rewarding creativity, technical skills and old school style. The most stylish rider will get the prize: “Il Don Giovanni”
The Skater doing old school tricks will have the “Il Padrino” prize (=the Godfather)
The most resistant rider of the finals will be: “Il Gladiatore”

The best Skater in Switch Stance will have the “Vitruvian man” prize.
