Cleptomanicx “Rollen Aaller 3″ On DVD

If you haven’t already, go and check out Cleptomanicx latest offering on DVD, “Rollen Aaller 3″, a sick ass video featuring the talents (!) of latest Polar recruit, Tjark Thielker, Dennis Laass, David Conrads, Lennie Burmeister and Niklas Speer v. Cappeln, plus Ceptn Clepto.

Cleptomanicx’ third video is a sick mixture of skate footy and skits portraiying the team on duty sailing the Clepto barge through Hanseatic waters. Apart from top notch skating, off the norm editing and individually composed music make this one a special gem. I’m also hoping to see even more abnormally funny stuff from five years worth of b-roll footage to pop up. Can’t wait!

Rollen Aaller 3 is out on DVD as of now, and should as well be out on the web some time soon.

Summer Fest-Mania

Last weekend the summer fest at Lennie Burmeister’s parents barn, out in the middle of no-where, went of in traditional manner – good old cordial crazyness, going on for almost two decades now. Sure enough, the premier has been a blast. The video certainly can live up to the hype. Some all around wicked shredding by doctor skate and friends. Despite a composition revolving more or less around shining a light on the man himself, this piece still ranges far from cockiness. It rather serves as testomony for a sheer and profound love for ripping hard and never compromising; in other words: the mosh it down way of life!

Scott Bourne will be presenting his new book “East Of The Adriatic” on Friday in Heilbronn, Germany.

As you can see the book will be about street dogs, rough words and photos without flash.

Speaking of which, you’ll also find some nice flicks of Bertrand Trichet, Sergej Vutuc, Lars Greiwe and Jaka Babnik in there.

Vans Downtown Showdown Hamburg

Vans’ Downtown Showdown went down yesterday at the heart auf Hamburg, Germany’s district for dry throats and lonely hearts: the infamous St.Pauli “Reeperbahn”.
Jart, Death, Blind Europe, Titus, Antiz, Cliché and Element Europe were in charge of the ripping, each team providing four of their best to session four obstacles, one hour each.
The weahter forecast had been looking grim for Saturday, yet still the sky held, and the radness could go down, under the watchful eyes of hundreds of spectators and legends Tony Alva, John Cardiel and Danny Wainwright, who presented the comp.

In the end the Element team won, Antiz came in second and Blind Europe third, also splitting most of the single and obstacle-specific awards amongst their riders, with Phil Zwijsen taking best AM

and Sam Partaix taking best PRO.

A very nice event all in all, just what those deserveing winners did with their shares of the 50 grand prize money, with one of Europe’s most renown red light districts in only a stone’s throws reach, remains a mystery…

A whole other type of TF…
