Last summer a part of the Lrg team went around Europe to skate some demos and hit up a few street spots along the way. Here’s what they managed to get.

Marek is a fine example of this a new breed of ultra tech skaters that emerged from Eastern Europe a few years ago. I’m tempted to suppose that this trend is in part due to Stalin plaza and the whole scene that revolves around it but there must be more to it because the spot’s older generation didn’t seem to have quite the same approach to ledge/tech skating.

Weather wasn’t really on our side in Bratislava. But what it missed in sunshine, it definitely made up for in spots. The place seemed a bit spread out and confusing, but Marek and Peter had it covered.

Our hosts digging in the book at breakfast. “You have a drop in? How about a river with a bridge we can jump?”

I had this rail pegged for the rail 10 tricks challenge already when we left from Gothenburg. Didn’t even remember it had a crack in the run-up waiting to be fixed. Two birds with one stone.

From Prague we drove down to Bratislava. This was the halfway mark of the trip and we were still vaguely thinking about going to Ljubljana. We probably never checked the map to see how far that was. In any case, we had Peter Molec and Marek Zaprazny waiting for us in Bratislava and we were all keen to get down there. Nisse Boy filmed a few tricks on the way, as always.

To each champ his own breakfast.

Made it there, finally! Central Bratislava wasn’t quite ready for the Sweet generator, so we ended up skating in the suburbs tonight. While Nisse was working on this ollie, a car pulled up and a girl got out of it. She walked up to Molec, gave him a bag of beers and drove off. “Friend of yours, Peter?” –“Nah, she was just being nice.” Dead nice.
