Marek is a fine example of this a new breed of ultra tech skaters that emerged from Eastern Europe a few years ago. I’m tempted to suppose that this trend is in part due to Stalin plaza and the whole scene that revolves around it but there must be more to it because the spot’s older generation didn’t seem to have quite the same approach to ledge/tech skating.

This year’s Vans Shop Riot winner’s are Streetmarket, from Prague. Just like last year, we decided to show you what they do best: shred the streets of their hometown. The least we can say is that we were not let down. This is what they managed to film over a rainy week, once again showing us that Prague has a lot more to offer than Stalin Plaza in terms of skatespots… Go and pick up a copy of the new issue for the photographic proof!
