It seems like the Blood Wizard boys used the latest edition of the Vans Spring Classic comp as an excuse to go and skate around Italy. Mason Merlino and Chris Gregson even managed to get Julien Benoliel to go around with them!

Three days of miniramp, music and brews on the beach in Varazze, Italy. Why say no?

“The concept is to respect and reward the diverse styles of transition skating. Spring Classic doesn’t have the typical “first to last” judging system, instead 20 lucky skaters will compete for 16 different prizes in the finals, rewarding creativity, technical skills and old school style. Each prize comes with an Italian title, glory and a fair amount of cash.

The most stylish rider will get the prize: “Il Don Giovanni”
The Skater doing old school tricks will have the “Il Padrino” prize (=the Godfather)
The most resistant rider of the finals will be: “Il Gladiatore”
The most technical skater will be: “Il Matematico”
The best Skater in Switch Stance will have the “Vitruvian man” prize.

The crew of confirmed skaters includes some of the best European Skaters, American Ams and even Legends, including: Andy Scott (UK) Tony Trujillo (US) Jason Dill (US) Chris Pfanner (AUS) Nassim Guammaz (NL) Kris Vile (UK) Phil Zwijsen (BEL) Josh Young (UK) Alain Goikotxea (SP) Greg Nowik (UK) Daan Van Der Linden (NL) Micky Iglesias (CH), Ross McGouran (UK), Sam Partaix (FR) Chris Oliver (UK) and Jake Collins (UK) with more confirmations on the way.”

Varazze, Italy is going to see the 4th edition of Vans Off The Wall Spring Classic mini ramp comp, along with street best trick slaughter and live music. The lovely Ligurian beachtown will get its proper stir up on May 4th-6th 2012, when “True Californian Lifestyle” and some of Europe’s wickedest ramp destroyers come to town to clash for 15.000 Euros of prize money. Hi-ho, let’s go!
