Group Atzek Fly By Night

Group Atzek is a loose collective of skate enthusaists from all around northern Germany. Inspired by Yoan Taillandier’s Minuit and Meanwhile films, and with some idle time on their hands, they set out to put on the dark of night, VX in hand. Few travels later “Fly By Night” was done.

“Now none of us is really keen on more night skating any time soon and there are no plans on a future crew project. – But then again…” – I guess we’ll just wait and see then.

20.000 Leagues Under Hasenheide

Yes, Jo Peters and the boys delivered at Hasenheide on Saturday September 22nd. Despite some electricity problems, the premiere of 20.000 Leagues Under The Sea turned out well sick, with an estimated 200 local lurkers looking on.

The video is made up of strong parts by Hannes Schilling, Roland “Hirschi” Hirsch and Valeri Rosomako mixed in with bits and pieces by the most notable heads in the Berlin scene and some mad maritime animations.

Paired with classy filming and editing, as well as a whole universe of more or less unknown spots, plus new twists on the more familiar ones makes a sick piece to go look out for. Have it! Berlin-Neukölln will be the place to be this Saturday when Pinkhaus skateshop and skateable art designer, Roberto Cuellar will get together for the instore vernissage of Plastik Passion, the first part of the Hasenheide skate extravaganza. Afterwards heads will move over to Hasenheide park for the premiere of Jo Peters’ new video 20.000 Leagues Under The Sea (including parts by Hirschi, Mackrodt, Vale, Schilling, Tjark, Sylvain, Dallas and other rippers), as well as a night session on some added Roberto Cuellar pieces. Drinks and bbq included. What more could you wish for…?!
