Even if you aren’t a fan of triple xl t-shirts and hip-hop, there’s no denying DGK have been killing it for the past few years. How many companies can afford to put out 8 minute “offcut” edits like this one? The fact that they pushed the older guys like Kalis, Stevie and Marcus as much as the newcomers in “Parental Advisory” makes me want to back them even more. I’m glad they are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

1611 East Teaser

Vancouver’s 1611 East is scheduled to drop some time this winter. Apparently we should expect footage from Bryan Wherry, Joey Williams, Ian Twa, Cameo Wilson, Wade Desarmo, Zander Mitchell, Beaster Bandula, Spencer Hamilton and loads more. Sounds sick. The way the trailer is edited reminds me a little of those Green Apple videos that Bryan Wherry and Joey Williams were in. Modern Love and Supper’s Ready are hands down my favorite Canadian videos of all time, and somehow I’ve got a feeling that this one could be up there with them when it comes out. It’s weird how it takes so little for me to get my hopes up…
