Eniz Fazliov’s part from “Rabies”, a full-length video from Finland’s SLP Crew, had to be in the top five edits of the month. There’s a powerful energy in this section and I think that’s what I particularly liked about it. Eniz somehow embodies the essence of skateboarding (fun), yet at the same time conveys quite a serious, ‘playing no games’ attitude. In a similar way, there’s some insanely fast skating here (like top speed shit!), yet still quite a lot of complex lines and tech manoeuvres. Dudes ticks all the boxes. Another thing is that of course Eniz bangs out a lot of really gnarly stuff in this section, we are you to that with him, but there’s more to this one than it’s hesh appeal. For instance one thing I really dig is the whole crew vibe. In a couple of the clips, and in particular the ender, Eniz is backed by his full crew of homies, all really stoked on what just went down. It’s sounds like nothing but I think it really think it adds to the hype you get from watching it, thus helping it achieve the goal all skate videos should aspire to… it makes you want to go out and skate!
