Wood Camp: Back to the city

You know how sometimes you’re standing at the bar, waiting to get served, but the girl behind the bar just looks straight through you and serves everyone else? Kind of how it’s been the last couple of days at the wood camp. We’re sitting in the room, or porch or wherever, laptops in hand, nothing to do besides check clips on the internet. Except the internet serves everyone else and treats me like I’m not there. Whatever. The airport has mad internet. So here’s the last post from Poland with Blueprint and 5Boro’s Michal Juras. We’re off home. Been a good time, thanks to all involved.

I can just hear Magee going: “Mellon?! What you do that for?!” Sorry if you get shitcanned for this, Jerome.

The bedside table. The usual.

Jerry Hsusole.

Michal Juras transferred from right to left. It’s a long way from right to left, you know. Poland recently went from Left to right. Equally long way, that.

Last night, there was a football match between the visitors and the home team. The kids kicked arse. Jerome took a few of them out, but it wasn’t enough to win the prize pizza.

Henry drinks about 3 liters of Mountain Dew a day. The Poles drink about the same amount of voddy. We got given two pints of lingonberry moonshine by Kuba’s wife. Kuba’s toast speech: “You know, it’s getting dark, we should drink it faster!” Enjoy the view while you still can.

Lord knows what goes on in there. Middle of last night Smithy reportedly crawled down for a wee, but instead of the toilet, he went out to the back garden and pissed on a tree, mumbling to himself. He’s hesh, you know.

While we wait for the article to get printed and Henry to get the edit up, have a look at Pirkka and Phil at the camp the week before us.
