Phil Evans just released a trailer for his documentary about Malmö’s skate scene and it’s looking really good! The skate scene in Malmo is now one of the strongest in Europe. From the humble beginnings of Bryggeriet skatepark in the 90′s to its ridiculous assortment of skateable terrain – from vert to wallrides – to it also housing a skate school/college. But perhaps Malmo is best known at the moment for its shift towards D.I.Y skating and creating its own scene and spots, with Pontus Alv at the forefront and with his videos ‘Strongest of the Strange’ and ‘In Search of the Miraculous’ gathering a wider audience for the scene. While Pontus has gotten even more recognition for Malmo from his company Polar. Malmo is truly a microcosm of its own skating.

John Magnusson, Emma Lindgren, Pontus Alv, Mattias Hallén, Will Taylor, John Dahlquist, Dave Toms, Daniel Grönwall, Daniel Hakansson, Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg, Fernando Bramsmark, Gustav Eden, Jacke Ovgren are all involved with the project.
