This second episode of Chris Mulhern’s Habitat/Joe Castrucci documentary is incredible. On top of offering a few unseen Danny Renaud clips and tons of new footage from Marius Syvanen, Daryl Angel, Mark Suciu, Brian Delatorre and Alex Davis, it discusses the making of their second video, working on the brand’s image and discovering Stefan Janoski and Silax Baxter-Neal. Habitat has a very clear and unique aesthetic and it’s interesting to see how it’s developed over the years. All the guys who have done or do ride for Habitat have really clean and powerful skating and the ability to skate everything in their path – as the company is more of an east coast one than a Californian one, this adaptability shines through. One of the teams who go out of their way to look for new spots and to explore new countries in order to do so many other people follow in their footsteps when they see what they have discovered. Being some of the first to go to China, other people saw its potential and have been going there for some years now. They really are one of the best companies and teams around.
